alina veschitskayare-raiseBased in Spain, Alina Veshchitskaya is an aspiring entrepreneur, an amateur philologist, and a high school student. She believes in the importance of following the most up-to-date trends in the business field. With an international team of ten, she is currently running a project called Re-Raise that raises awareness of global issues through sustainable fashion.
Since grade 9, she has been participating in different career-oriented activities. First, when COVID-19 hit the world, she worked as an assistant business consultant for a local pharmacy going through an economic downturn. Although Alina had nothing but a passion and a desire to learn, the experience of having a position in a functioning company inspired her to continue doing business. As an IBDP student, she further developed her interest by participating in several internships organized by corporations such as PwC and Uber. Working with people from all over the planet, she prepared and pitched projects in front of Uber and PwC representatives. During the internships, she also conducted research and strategic analysis and studied the basics of marketing and product management. Having acquired all the necessary knowledge and skills, in August of 2021, she created Re-Raise, a company that includes participants from places like China, the UK, the UAE, etc. Re-Raise follows the Sustainable Development Goals, trying to embody the concept of responsible consumption and production. The team explores the most disturbing global problems and creates meaningful eco-friendly collections to promote the issues. In the future, the members of Re-Raise are planning to collaborate with student-based NPOs and support them financially. Since all the teammates are from very different countries and backgrounds, Alina enjoys learning more about their cultures. At a university, she wants to immerse herself in an even more diverse community with a strong entrepreneurial spirit. Alina is confident that the contrasting experiences of young entrepreneurs can help them generate innovative startup ideas together. If bound by a common goal — to improve the world through entrepreneurship, the youth can significantly influence modern production and consumption practices and make them more sustainable. |
