yoshikane osugapuzzle noteYoshikane Osuga is a high school student based in Japan, and his core passion areas are in music, debate, entrepreneurship and sustainable tourism.
Starting at 3 years old, he has been playing violin, and immerses himself in the ability to use music to better his personal well-being (as well as those aroudn him). Then, at 8 years old, he picked up the sport of tennis, which he uses to train his physical strength. He believes that purusing holistic health is key to youth and their long-term development. In high school, he chose to undertake various programs to build and diversify his strenghts. He attend the Stanford E-Entrepreneurship Program in 2021, and particpate in the All-Japan English Speech Contest organized by the Waseda Juku Foundation. Later in the same year, he participated in a national SDGs Exploration and contributed to ideating on solutions for local sustainability-related issues. He made a visit to the US military base (Kadena Air Base) to join a workshop. The following year, he participated in a national business presentation, where he presented Puzzle Note, a social entrepreneurship idea connecting sound with memory and education. Puzzle Note made it all the way to the National Presentation stage, and was implemented initially within one grade and subsequently across the whole school. He also developed a "古文漢文" initiative to introduce Japanese historical culture to fuure generations. He attended Oxford Summer Program in the summer of 2022. Later in the fall, he and his team preapred a travel service plan to Kinki Nippon Tourist Company and won a top prize. Continuing his passion for writing, he won various essay competitoins, both locally and nationally). In the future, Yoshikane seeks to pursue a professional career which allows him to further the intersectionality of the aforementioned passion areas, and make an impact, in his own way, to the world. |
